Walkin' Talkin' Somethin' Blues

Walkin' Talkin' Somethin' Blues
Written By: Jonny Johnson

Everyone says I'm as old as them
8, 45, 100 years old, I am
We're no different, you and I
Just introduced, I'm just a regular guy
(Ordinary, I write songs, I sing 'em too)

It strikes me as bizarre
People got 10,000 friends, it's gone too far
I got my handful of buddies
That's all I need, that and my car

I like to drive, drive around
The cops ask me where I'm bound
They give me attention well
I ask from what heaven they've fell
(I ain't makin' friends
I'm not proud)

I gotta friend, leader of the band
We made an album, then away he ran
No hard feelings or nothing
I keep playing and living or something
(Seein', meetin, hearin')

In the Rockies I saw a girl
A true love I was a swirl
She never had any demands
Liked to draw Saturn upon her hand
She drew it with care as an artist does
Said it reminded her where she was
(When I was with her, I was never lost!)

I went to dinner with a girl one time
She was quiet, reserved, didn't speak a line
That didn't really bother me none
Not much between she and I, I let her be
(I didn't call her again
She started seeing my friend
They been together for years now)

I put up a tower out in the Rockies
Waist deep in snow, raised it with pullies
Towed it in behind a sled
I'd say that job was a real drag
All that tower was missin' was a flag
(Really needed a flag on it)

I captained a boat of bachelorettes
The other cap'n hadn't shown up yet
Out playing in the cove, my friend swims up a creep
He says, you hear the news, the cap'n died in his sleep
(Damn shame, good excuse)
