All The Days Went
All The Days Went
Written By: Jonny Johnson
"What have I done?" the critic states
His leg is restless as judgment waits
A grin wrenched, a look within
Thereupon all the days went
"We sat on the fence," the fool draws
"Our age of innocence, we tested laws."
He belts a bold laugh, and grins a gentle grin
Thereupon all the days went
"Where'd I go wrong?" the critic wonders
"I fed her lies of dreamy forever's"
"I wanted to be good," the truth did bend
Thereupon all the days went
The fool unmoved, marks a line to connect
"We were young. What could we expect?
"I changed fast. A good time spent."
Thereupon all the days went
The two passed, center of the forest
"I've seen you before," the critic confessed
The fool waved, "...and I'll meet you again"
Thereupon all the days went
Birds chirped, high in the trees
A breeze blew, rustled the leaves
A calmness settled, a warmth rushed in
Thereupon all the days went
